I don’t know you manage it all Robin! You are an awesome photographer, mom, wife and friend, AND yet you make time to make someone’s day brighter with your Christmas giveaway! I think your Holiday gift is sharing your talent and your friendship!!!

Gary Bradley Hodges - December 14, 2011 - 10:48 pm

Today was the most fun I have had in a very long time. While Laura was teaching dance, I went thrift store shopping for Christmas decor. I found the most lovely snowflake lights (exactly what Laura wanted for one of our trees in the yard) and I found the festive spiral tree. I picked Laura up from work and we spent the next four hours fixing the lights and tree and displaying them in our yard. I hope the fun we had decorating brings smiles to our neighbors and passers by this Christmas season. (We also have a sound machine that makes the lights dance with the Christmas music, my personal favorite part) :-) MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!

Robin, So nice to see what amazing talent you have as a photographer! Wishing you continued success in all your business, family, and personal endeavors in the new year ahead!

So this comment DQ’s me from winning, but the truth of my message is more important to me than winning. Something inspirational? A year ago I became a new person. My life changed forever. I put on my running shoes and 12 months later, I wore my marathon medal around my neck. This journey of mine began from one source. Several other sources of inspiration soon followed, but my initial source was from a friend from pre-school. She had recently started running and looked amazing. I often think of her when I think of this amazing journey and I will forever be grateful to her for helping me become a “Marathoner.”

Seven days without laughter makes one weak. – Joel Goodman

I just had an all out giggle-fest here at work…tears were streaming and my cheeks hurt from all the smiling :) I urge everyone to have AT LEAST 1 of those moments every week!!!

Thank you so much for doing this for everyone! I think it is so awesome and gives me something to look forward to! I cant wait to see Connor this Christmas and see how he likes it…right now overtime there is a Santa on TV, Connor says “ho, ho, ho,” haha!

Whitney Goulding - December 14, 2011 - 2:34 pm

Robin, even after two years I still brag that we have the BEST wedding pictures of anyone I know thanks to you! Hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas!!

Jennifer Kate - December 14, 2011 - 1:50 pm

Christopher, my four year old, is saving and gifting Christmas hugs to all his friends and family. I asked him what a “Christmas hug” was. He replied “First I give you a great big hug” (he proceeds to hug and squeezes me tight) then continued “and then I wish you a “Merry Christmas!”" he replied. Now that is heart warming and truly in the Christmas spirit. Hope this brings a smile to your face.

I love this poem I read online:

I wish that I could wrap up all the love and Holiday cheer
That comes along with Christmas and with New Year’s every year,
Pack it in a pretty box and put it on my shelf
And pull it down again each year and give it to myself.

I wish that I could tie up all my favorite carols with twine,
Wind around some ribbon, too, and for twelve months call them mine
Until the next Yuletide came when the sounds again could be unfurled
And untie every single one then give them to the world.

Merry Christmas!!

It’s your time! Do the things that you enjoy and make you happy – don’t do things you don’t like. If there is something that you don’t like, find a way to change it. If there is something hard, find one thing to make it more pleasant (like in that long painful run, the pretty smell of the gardenia plant). Have fun and laugh a lot! Have a great Christmas Robin!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I LOVE your work.

Diane Wilson Brodersen - December 14, 2011 - 11:21 am

Looking at your fabulous pictures of all the weddings you shoot, makes me want to get married all over again, and again, and again, (of course to Bart) just so I can have more great pictures of us together all dressed up.

Lisa - December 14, 2011 - 10:58 am

Love life and laugh often! :)

Stacy - December 14, 2011 - 10:40 am

Just give it to Elizabeth! That’s hysterical!
But if you find this inspiring, give it to me and I will use this for next week when I help those homeless in downtown Raleigh. Well….. at least the Subway card. Not sure how many are ‘in need’ of iTunes gift cards. We could break this card set up and give it to all that have posted.

Christmas is about giving and sharing and you my friend, Robin, embody that spirit!

I’m thankful to be in NC. Since moving here, I’ve lost 25 lbs (silly, but I gotta give myself some credit:) ), we’ve got a house, we’re established and rebuilding our friendships with people we left behind in NC. I’ve met so many wonderful people, this is such a wonderful community of people; we’ve just been incredibly blessed to be here.

What I want more then anything is to raise honest, productive, loving, giving, christian members of society. Everything I do is for my 3 children and I hope to be a role model they can be proud of! Being a parent is hard work!!

Jenn Carlin - December 14, 2011 - 10:15 am

Robin: Have faith in people, because even when it seems the world is crashing down, someone out there is helping someone else. Every year I feed the homeless on Thanksgiving day, and I remember why I am so lucky (even at the times I don’t feel it). I am lucky that I have a wonderful family (like you do, even with the ups and downs), amazing friends (who are just a phone call away), amazing colleagues (like yourself), and a husband who has been so supportive of everything (just like Steve is to you). The motto I live by:

life comes with no guarantees, no time outs, no second chances, you just have to live life to the fullest. laugh as much as you can, spend all your money, tell someone what they mean to you, tell someone off, speak out, dance in the pouring rain, hold someones hand, comfort a friend, fall asleep watching the sun come up, stay up late, be a flirt, smile till your face hurts, dont be afraid to take chances or fall in love…& most of all live in the moment cause when you look back someday knowing you have no regrets it’s gonna be what makes you smile

Elizabeth Myers - December 14, 2011 - 10:11 am

A funny little rhyme to make you smile: “I wish I were a glow worm/A glow worm’s never glum/Cause how can you be grumpy/When the sun shines out your bum?” Sometimes we just need to be silly!

carrie - December 14, 2011 - 10:11 am

For my comment I’m going to share a story about a coworker of mine. Her daughter is seven-ish, and she wrote a letter to santa asking for the things she wanted. At the end of it she said “PS: Santa, when you come to our house PLEASE come and wake me up and let me take a picture with you. I need to show it to my friends because they don’t believe in you.” :)

Thanks for the awesome giveaway, Robin!

Laura - December 14, 2011 - 10:08 am

Don’t add me to the Random selection, this is just in the name of Christmas love, but of all the women I have ever met…if i ever decide to have children, I hope I am as beautiful a mother as you are to you little girls.

Penny - December 14, 2011 - 10:07 am

Robin, you are an amazing mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, photographer, athlete and woman. You inspire me with your drive, determination, kindness, spirit, and zest for life. I am blessed to have you in my life. Love you.

Jennifer Marsh - December 14, 2011 - 10:03 am

After dancing in all the area parades with TTP, Lorelei turns to me and states, “I was born to be on stage!” I figured you would appreciate this being a dance mom yourself.

Laddy - December 14, 2011 - 9:56 am

Robin, I miss seeing you! I’ve been reading how you have been doing all the Ramblin Roses and I think it’s SUPER AMAZING!!! I am thinking about signing up for one next year! I wish you and your family a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!
