That’s right! It’s time for another amazing bridal show. Next weekend, January 5-6 we’ll be at the Wedding Show at the State Fairgrounds in the Expo Center. had such a great time at Jenny & Jim’s wedding today. There was so much love from both families and all their friends – I felt really blessed to have been a part of it. Jenny was such an incredibly beautiful bride and the colors of the season made it even more spectacular. The O’Henry Hotel in Greensboro made for a beautiful reception site. I wish you both every happiness as you begin this chapter of your lives together – thank you again for allowing me to be a part of your very special day.

My apologies for no blog posts, no new images, no nada. We’ve had just a run of bad luck here in the past week at our house. Started when my little one split her mouth open on Thursday and we had to rush her to the pediatrician, had to rush her back on Friday. Then yesterday I came down with the nastiest virus I’ve had in years and my oldest has it as well. And now it appears as though my husband is getting it too…
So…we are here, still alive, just trying to get healthy!

I’m a little behind on my blogging, my apologies! This past weekend I flew to Chicago as part of a two-fold visit. The main reason was my sister & her husband’s portrait session. Unfortunately, as most know by now – a major weather system moved in to the area and we only had about 5 minutes of shooting time on the lake with the skyline in the background, but we got some good stuff. In fact, by the time we got back in the car, the skyline was gone the snow was coming down that hard. I love their townhouse as well – it’s right downtown, very urban and modern – just love it!

So we actually took a vacation, an entire week. We realized this was the first full week we have been away since our oldest (Madi) has been born, over 3 years. It’s been a ton of long weekends and 4-5 day trips but no solid week long trips. Well no longer!!!! We spent 3 days visiting Mickey & pals (but really to see Cinderella and her girls) and then we spent 3 days at one of my favorite places – Cape Santa Maria on Long Island in the Bahamas. Such an incredible place. It’s an Out Island and it’s VERY out, no phone, no TV, no nada. They do have internet but it can only be accessed in the “main house”. Only one place to get meals, etc. But seriously the most beautiful beach I’ve ever seen, the sand is so soft and so white and the water is so incredibly blue. It was so nice to go.

Yes, I’m really not exaggerating. I came back to over 149,000 emails in my in-box. Apparently the company who emailed me and my out of office kept bouncing back and forth for 3 days. Fun, huh? Took a while to sort it all out but I finally have my email under control.

I realized tonight this is my first engagment session for my 2008 weddings. It was certainly a great way to start the next season! I’m so looking forward to this wedding. Diane & Bart are truly a fun couple to work with, to be around and enjoy. It was chilly and getting dark fast at Duke, but you’d never know it from them!

No fun assignments this week – this is a solid work week trying to get everything ready for the holidays. Just a reminder that the ordering deadline for any holiday orders is NEXT MONDAY, November 12, 2007. We will be closed the week of Thanksgiving. So today was the Triangle Bridal Showcase at the Durham Hilton. It was tons of fun. Met lots of brides, lots of other wedding planners and others. I’m actually very excited to do another show next year! I’m already thinking of improvements for my next booth (as I managed to damage some of the flooring I installed for today’s booth) and a few other upgrades as well. Just a few images from my booth today.
