Katie & Her Family

My wonderful friend, Katie, whom I haven’t seen in almost 2 years contacted me recently about doing a beach session for her and her family.  They were going to be in Duck for a week and of course, I jumped at the chance to be able to do this with them.  While I have a rather creepy story about my return drive home last night, it was a really fun evening and catching up with Katie, Dan, her sister Amy and parents was really wonderful for me!katie31.jpgkatie2.jpgkatie1.jpg

Yahoo!

For some reason I don’t think Yahoo likes me.  Not exactly sure why but they are treating many of my emails as spam.  I’m trying to contact Yahoo (which is next to impossible) to find out the cause/solution.  So, if you have a Yahoo account, I can receive your email, just replying to you is sketchy.  To solve the problem I’m sending responses from both my personal (Yahoo) account and my robinlinphoto account.

 I’m so sorry about this!

Albums, Albums, Albums!

I’ve been designing a lot lately.  I just sent off on Friday my first boudoir album which I am SO excited to get back (should have it in 2-3 weeks).  Today I sent off a portrait album that is a collection of portrait & maternity work.  I’m in the process of designing one of my beautiful bride’s albums which is just going to look amazing when it is done.  After that I have another album to design for a portrait session from an adorable little boy and then a sample album of all my wedding work.  I must say, I really do love doing the designs.  It’s a lot of fun, really lets me be creative, do things a little different, tweak images and put things together to really tell the story.

Email & Web Issues

So we just switched servers for the third time in a month after having major email issues for the past 2 weeks which drove me to the point of insanity.  It appears, while our email issues may be solved, our website/blog issues may not be completely resolved.

Please try to stay as patient as possible with us through this process.  My profound and deep apologies!

Sydney is walking!

I actually need to put this in my blog as I have yet to start a baby book for this poor second child and I won’t remember the date otherwise……our little Miss Sydney is starting to walk!  We’ve had a feeling she’s been able to for a while (kinda like her ability to crawl but just not wanting to).  Well we tried it the other night and she walked the entire length of our family room (probably a good 15 ft)!  It’s very exciting and Madi is her biggest cheerleader.  Now we need to get it on video before she becomes too proficient!

Email drives me nuts!

So for the past week I’ve been having major email problems.  First it started that outgoing emails were bouncing back to me.  Ok…….so I start using my Yahoo account and cc myself only to discover they are being bounced back.  Just terrific!  Now I can’t get incoming or outgoing email.  We have been in constant communication with our host provider and they have said the problem has been resolved (apparently it was a bug during an upgrade to the servers).

I do sincerely apologize for any delay or problems you had in reaching me this week.  I keep sending myself test emails from various accounts just to make sure everything is working.  Again, my apologies!

Madi’s Birthday Party!

Now it was time for my oldest princess to have her party.  Kind of crazy to have two girls born 6 weeks apart.  This year we decided to have Madi’s party not at home but at Gymboree Play & Music in Durham (such a good choice).  She elected to have a “jungle” theme which was a blast.  It was a ton of fun with amazing cake (again from Doe Bakery) and lots of her friends.  It was perfect for a 3-year old party, it was a sweltering weekend so I was so glad we had it inside. madibday51.jpg

Hannah & Okey’s Wedding

I can’t put my finger on what struck me most about Hannah & Okey’s wedding and how it made me feel, I’ve never cried so much at a wedding, I’ve never felt so included, never felt so much emotion.  It was so amazing – Okey serenading Hannah was truly, TRULY something I’ll never forget.

Sydney’s First Birthday!

My little one turned one on June 15.  We had a very girly, very pink, princess-themed first birthday party for my little Miss Sydney.  The cake came from the amazing Doe Bakery (doebakery.blogspot.com) and I’m kind of a nut when it comes to favors so I had to include a pic of those.  She did a very thorough job of destroying her cake and her beautiful party dress in the process.  We had a blast! syd6.jpgsyd4.jpgsyd51.jpgsyd3.jpgsyd2.jpgsyd1.jpg

Charlotte’s Trash the Dress Session!

We trashed a dress and had so much fun!  We went to the family farm and had a blast, Charlotte was the perfect bride & model.  The end of our session included her jumping into the pond.  More than I ever expected but we loved every minute of it!  Can’t wait to do more of these!

A Cutie Pie!

It had been a long, few months of non-stop weddings and engagements so it was such a great change to go back to my “roots” and photograph this adorable little one on an early Saturday morning.   We shot his first birthday session and ended with some “smash cake”.  As you can tell, he enjoyed it! J

Charlotte & Breandan’s Engagement & Wedding

You meet people in your life that just really impact you – Charlotte & Breandan were those people.   I didn’t get to meet Breandan until the night before their wedding at their rehearsal dinner.  It was a hot weekend, but I actually thing it made their photos even better!  Hope you are both doing well in Dubai!
