It was a GORGEOUS day for a wedding. The weather could not have been more perfect for this incredibly adorable couple to be married. The ceremony and reception took place at the Spruce Pine Lodge in Bahama which made for a really fun setting for the day.

As I mentioned a while ago, I’ve been designing a lot of albums lately. Well the first one just arrived and it’s SO beautiful! I just love it. It’s a very small collection of my maternity, children & family portraits but I really am in love with it. I like the simple, yet elegant design. I just LOVE the cover material and the way the image seems to “float” in the crystal cover. The pages are all metallic and just have an amazing sheen to them. It’s just stunning to see in person.

It’s amazing how much weather impacts your mood, outlook on life, etc. I can’t tell you how much more productive I’ve been today than I’ve been in recent memory just because it’s a gorgeous day outside. I even had a really fun lunch with my girls on our deck – something we haven’t been able to do all summer long. It’s just nice to have a break from the heat!

I’m pleased to mention that tomorrow night I’ll be a panelist speaking at the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Mother’s Club Evening Meeting at Meadowmont Clubhouse at 7:30pm. We’ll be discussing all the pros & cons of operating a small business, being a parent while doing so and juggling it all. If you are free, it’d be great to see you there as it’s a panel of really wonderful women!

This weekend we headed up North for some much needed time off. We met up with friends we hadn’t seen in years, Rolf & Skye and their adorable daughter, Ella. Ottawa is a GORGEOUS city and the weather was amazing. The high on Saturday was only 70 – yes, 70 degrees! We walked a ton and our girls had a blast. Forgot to bring my camera so no pictures but it was really what we all needed.

Today I finally got to meet Narumon & Gabe after trading many emails. I’m really excited to be shooting their wedding in a few weeks as I think it’s really going to be a beautiful day.
