I feel so incredibly fortunate to have been a part of Amanda & JD’s wedding this past Saturday. It was so full of emotion and love – laughter and happiness. It was truly the best way for me to start my 2009 wedding season. Amanda & JD are the kindest, sweetest couple and I’m so glad they are together. Everything transpired at the beautiful Trinity Avenue Presbyterian Church in Durham. I hope you enjoy it!

The kiss…from the balcony – gotta love those long lenses!

These next two images I LOVE, really really LOVE. This church had beautiful little stairways and window light, lots of nooks & crannies. I came downstairs to find Amanda & JD – turned the corner and found this – grabbed my camera and shot. I realize it’s not sharp but I love it.

This for me is pure yummy…

It was raining earlier in the day and I had told JD I always manage to get shots outside, and sure enough, we got a break in the clouds, gorgeous blue sky and the church had a beautiful courtyard for our beautiful bride.

I found this green building right across the street from the church and knew I had to use it. Even if it was still raining I was just going to drag them out there with umbrellas if I had to. I knew we were cutting it close on time (and I really try to stay on schedule) – but I told them to give me 5 more minutes to run across the street to this green building…this is what we got.

We then went to the reception for a great afternoon but the best part was the choir from The Shepherd’s House. It was so incredible to listen to them sing and seeing the little boy in the second image was just priceless for me.

The final goodbye…

And of course, the beautiful details…
