{Leiana + Stewart} Wedding – Life & Science Museum

Saturday’s wedding of Leiana & Stewart was so truly magical.  I knew I was working with top-notch vendors, the lovely ladies at TreBella flowers and the reception was going to be held at the Life & Science Museum in Durham (where Leiana works).  Her dad made the cake which left me speechless it was so beautiful.  While it was a hot day (for late April), it was such a day filled with love and happiness as their beautiful wedding occurred.  Please enjoy….

This time, I’ll start with not one, but 3 pairs of beautiful shoes.  The very cute hot pink flats Leiana wore for the reception.

Leiana’s nieces were _adorable_!  And they wore really really cute little dresses as well.

After a beautiful Catholic ceremony…they are married!

Afterwards we had some time before the reception so we went to Duke Gardens for the family & bridal party portraits.  This is by far my favorite from that session.

Afterwards we headed over to the reception at the Butterfly House at the Life & Science Museum.  It made for such a beautiful, fun & unique backdrop for the reception.  It was such a beautifully warm evening, absolutely gorgeous weather for this outdoor reception.

{Meredith} Bridal – Duke Gardens/Haywood Hall

On Friday, I got back together with Meredith (and Christopher) and photographed her bridal session.  This was actually a ton of fun as we did this (obviously) a week after her wedding.  The original plan was to have her bridal completed before her wedding but her dress wasn’t ready in time (but really, it took a lot of stress out of keeping the dress clean).

We went to the always beautiful Duke Gardens.  Fortunately while the weather is getting very warm there are a lot of great options at Duke without having to walk all over the gardens for amazing photos.    Thanks so much again guys for being so great about everything!

{Mercedes + German} Add Baby!

On Thursday I was very fortunate to meet Mercedes & German.  They are just days away from having their first baby (which will be a truly gorgeous little girl).  They came to me via Beth & Adithya and we met on UNC’s campus.  They are such a loving, sweet couple.  This little girl is coming into so much love and happiness – she’s very very lucky to have such fabulous parents.

I love this image…if you look at Mercedes belly closely at the upper left side you can see that the baby was moving around – she’s definitely an active little one!

Thank you so much again Mercedes & German – I can’t wait to meet your little princess for her newborn session!

{Just Because}

I was on UNC’s campus late last week for a maternity session (that will be blogged soon) and I saw this across the way.  I thought it was just a really nice moment so I grabbed it and wanted to share it.  I think it’s just sweet and nice.  I have no idea who these people are but I know they spent a lot of time around the Old Well taking informal graduation pictures.

{Charity Event}

I’m so incredibly pleased to announce the formation of Give Back for Hope.  A charity event I put together really under the premise of giving back and trying to do more.  I was incredibly inspired by the documentary cancer work I did last year and really felt the need to do more….so I am.  The site is www.givebackforhope.org and I would love as much support as possible.  Obviously this is very much a “village” effort.  Thank you very much!

{Meredith + Christopher} Wedding – Haywood Hall

Ahh, I’ve been waiting for Meredith & Christopher’s wedding for a very long time.  I remember I photographed their engagement session well over a year ago and I hadn’t seen them in ages.  Their wedding was truly amazing.  I was very excited as well because this was my first wedding of the season.  The weather was, without a doubt, perfect.  The sky was that perfect shade of Carolina blue, not too hot, but not cold – perfect for an outside wedding.  Everything was held at the lovely Haywood Hall in downtown Raleigh.  They were so happy, Meredith was so beautiful…everything was…just so perfect.  So please enjoy and I’ll be sure to post my slideshow as soon as it’s ready.

(I do need to add – I realize this is a bit unconventional for me to start my weddings this way — Meredith’s friends son came into the room – he lost his first tooth and I managed to grab this shot — I just loved it).mc01

{Liz & Tomas} Kiss Me – Fearrington Wedding

I just can’t wait for Liz & Tomas’ wedding.  It’s in 2 weeks at the gorgeous Fearrington Inn.  They are such an amazing couple that just exudes love and romance, it’s just so much fun to be around them.  We’ve been trying to get together for weeks to do their Kiss Me session but our schedules between the 3 of us were just not meshing.  So finally, we were able to get together at Duke Gardens and had a great time.  Afterwards we went to dinner at Tyler’s for one last meeting (which I do with all my couple’s)…it was just a fun, nice afternoon.  Can’t wait to see you guys in 2 weeks!!

{Such a quiet blog}

I’m so {very super} sorry for being so quiet lately.  Trust me, if you knew what was going on behind the scenes you’d realize my poor blog has just been the last thing on my mind lately.  I do really apologize.  I had a great Kiss Me session earlier this week, have another one today, my first wedding of the season tomorrow…lots and lots going on.  And a huge announcement on Wednesday (that no one is going to see coming).  So hopefully I can catch up at some point.  Please try to be patient with me.  I so appreciate my blog readers, I really do…I even have some beautiful canvases for my house that I wanted to show you, didn’t even get a chance to do that.  I do promise…soon.

{Beth’s Bridal Session} Fearrington Village

The weather was absolutely amazing for Beth’s bridal session today at the always lovely Fearrington Village.  Beth’s beautiful and intimate wedding will occur over Memorial Day weekend and I’m truly honored to be a part of it.  She looks so stunning and elegant…I can’t imagine how she’ll radiate on her wedding day.  Just a few from today….
