On Sunday I had the incredible pleasure of being a part of Beth & Adithya’s wedding at the always lovely Fearrington. Gilda and her team are truly incredible to work with, keep everything on time and style the most beautiful weddings. Kevin with DJ Joe Bunn provided all the sound & music that day (Joe and his guys do a fantastic job).
I will say, the weather on Sunday called for a chance of showers in the afternoon and I checked the radar before I left – I completely thought we’d make it through the wedding. Beth & Adithya were having a daytime wedding and I was looking forward to that. Well mother nature being what she is had other plans. Shortly before the ceremony the sky started turning that shade of gray/black that it does right before it rains. We made it through the ceremony under the pecan trees (an absolutely BEAUTIFUL ceremony officiated by Adithya’s Uncle) and then, absolutely not the norm for me – I told Beth and Adithya, I think we should immediately start shooting the formals (normally I let the families welcome & congratulate each other). I can say, I’ve never, ever shot the family & bridal party formals so fast ever and literally the last snap of my shutter and it started raining and we rain for one building and everyone else ran into the restaurant. Fortunately we were able to do some couple shots and then I bustled Beth’s dress but the rest of the day it rained on and off. But honestly it didn’t make any difference for what was a truly beautiful wedding & reception.
