I felt very blessed to participate in Click for Quakes in February and very lucky that I had 4 sessions of various families & individuals participate. Just had to share some of my favorites.

As everyone knows, the devastation in Haiti was beyond unbelievable. As a community, a group of photographers have decided to team up and offer brief sessions with 100% of the proceeds going to the relief effort. In exchange you will receive ONE hi-resolution image. What you would like to do with the image is limitless. Use the image for Facebook, Twitter, send it to a loved-one for an upcoming holiday, new prints, etc. The point is all about giving back in the best way we can.
Additionally, I’m personally offering all of my prints (which MUST be ordered by March 1) for 50% off. This is an incredible savings! All of my prints come matted on fine-art, archival mats.

Ahhh, I’ve been waiting for Baby H for a long time and he was a great way for me to start the New Year. His mommy & daddy had a gorgeous maternity session last fall and I knew they’d have a beautiful baby. Baby H is just gorgeous, he’s a sweet little boy, oh, he just makes me melt. I absolutely love little ones…he is just 8 weeks old and absolutely perfect. He has just brought so much happiness and love into their house. Congratulations again!
The slideshow will be up next week but until then, a few of my favorites. My very, VERY favorite is the third image (I absolutely LOVE it).

Yay for Baby Q! I was so excited when his mom emailed me over the holidays and let me know that she wanted to set up Q’s one year old session. Not only that, it was my first full session in my new studio and he really worked my place over. It was SO much fun. We crawled around, rolled around. I’m so in love with that space and it’s REALLY great for little ones (because it’s so small) – they are really contained and can’t go too far (but I did realize I need outlet covers – fortunately he’s not an electrical outlet child). I feel especially lucky as I’ve been able to document Baby Q’s mommy & daddy’s wedding, their day-after session (or trash-the-dress), maternity and newborn sessions – so I’ve seen so much of them over the years and I can’t wait to see more of them in the future.
The slideshow will be up in a few days…but here’s some of my very favorites in the meantime. By far my 2 favorites and mommy and baby and the birthday boy in his hat! Happy Birthday to one of the happiest, cutest little guys I know - you totally made my day!

I realize I haven’t blogged in a few weeks and I sincerely hope everyone had a great series of holidays, no matter what holidays you celebrate. I finally was able to spend some great time with my family & friends and I really enjoyed every minute I had. I’m now looking into the start of 2010 and it’s going to be a fantastic New Year! With that, I have some news! I’ve moved my studio from Durham to Chapel Hill, specifically Franklin Street. Ever since I started my business I always wanted to be on Franklin Street – one VERY late night I was searching around, found this space, saw it the next day and set the wheels into motion. Everything moved very quickly and while I wouldn’t recommend trying to move your life around during the holidays – it’s totally doable.
So here’s my cozy new little space – with the emphasis on LITTLE. It’s very little, especially if you ever saw my space in Durham (it’s less than 1/2 that). But I LOVE it. It’s wedged between Sutton Drugs and Firehouse Subs right upstairs in the Loft Offices (and right above Bandido’s). Tons and TONS of great restaurants, shops, well, hey, it’s Franklin Street, it’s just pretty fantastic.

I was very excited to document Amy’s maternity session. They are not only a gorgeous couple who “fit” together perfectly, but they had this quiet, serene peace about them. I’m sure Amy is going to do a fantastic job when it comes time for delivery and I can’t wait to document their new little one during their newborn session.

She’s such a doll and Mercedes and German are incredibly blessed to have this adorable baby girl in their lives. I was fortunate enough to sneak in their baby session right before they moved away. And while she wasn’t having the best day, she really is absolutely adorable.

Ok so I LOVE these pettiskirts, tutus, whatever you want to call them. What better time to enjoy them than the summertime. I’m having these fantastic limited edition sessions all summer long. On Thursday I was very fortunate to meet Mercedes & German. They are just days away from having their first baby (which will be a truly gorgeous little girl). They came to me via Beth & Adithya and we met on UNC’s campus. They are such a loving, sweet couple. This little girl is coming into so much love and happiness – she’s very very lucky to have such fabulous parents.
I love this image…if you look at Mercedes belly closely at the upper left side you can see that the baby was moving around – she’s definitely an active little one!
Thank you so much again Mercedes & German – I can’t wait to meet your little princess for her newborn session!
