{Caroline + Tim} Wedding – The Franklin Hotel, Chapel Hill, NC

Caroline + Tim had a truly beautiful wedding on a gorgeous Carolina blue day on October 3.  I’m very behind on my blogging right now so their slideshow will be coming out very soon as well.  Their wedding and reception was held at the lovely Franklin Hotel in Chapel Hill.  And I was very fortunate to work with an incredible team of vendors: one of my very favorite officiants, the lovely Robin Renteria, Sugarland (cake), University Florist (flowers) and Damien Maass (Joe Bunn DJ).  Caroline + Tim have been together for 8 years by the time they had their wedding and I’ve been involved in their wedding for a very long time as well, so it was such a pleasure for me to finally see all the planning, all the details, finally come together for them.  Please enjoy!

I was shooting the bride alone and she said “turn around” and the bridesmaids were sitting perfectly just like this…and so seriously.  The next frame they were laughing!

{Caroline + Tim} – Just One – The Franklin Hotel, Chapel Hill

Caroline & Tim had a beautiful wedding at The Franklin Hotel a week ago.  Unfortunately I’m horribly behind in my blogging and I know they are about to head out on their honeymoon so I wanted to get them at least one image before they go…

{Elizabeth + Dan} Wedding – Matthews House, Cary

Elizabeth & Dan’s wedding was truly beautiful.  They are just amazing people and I really, really felt honored to be a part of their wedding.  I don’t ever think I can thank them enough for allowing me to be a part of it.  Their wedding was on a beautiful Friday night of Memorial Day weekend and the weather could not have been more perfect.  Everything was held at The Matthews House which is just charming and Ryan with Island Sound did a great job keeping the dance floor packed.

I absolutely LOVE this next series of 4 images.  Elizabeth & Dan elected to see each other before the ceremony and it was just the 3 of us for me to document.  They both cried, it was so beautiful.

{Morgan + Clint} Wedding – Sister’s Garden

Morgan & Clint had a fantastic, huge wedding on May 16.  Definitely one of the biggest weddings I’ve had the opportunity to document in a while which made it a lot of fun.  Their beautiful ceremony then led into a reception that sometimes felt like a concert.  The Craig Woolard Band, was absolutely the best band I’ve seen to date.  They had the kids up on stage dancing, sang a great mix of dance music, it was seriously fantastic!  And as always, Sister’s does a great job!

{Morgan’s Bridal} American Tobacco Campus

Now that Morgan & Clint are married, I can show you just a few of Morgan’s bridal images.  She didn’t want them previewed _just in case_ Clint happened to peak at my blog.  Unfortunately for us, the weather completely did not cooperate the day of Morgan’s bridal session.  We had planned to start at my studio, shoot a little bit inside and then head over to Duke Gardens.  Well, just as we ended at my studio, the skies opened up.  Fortunately I had plan B in place and was on the security list at the American Tobacco Campus and we were able to shoot her session over there.  By the end though it was absolutely pouring and we all ran.

{Katie + Luke} Kiss Me – Fearrington Wedding

I met with Katie & Luke for their engagement about 2 weeks ago (and I know I’m so behind on my blogging, I feel horrible about it).  It was one of those really rainy Sunday afternoons and we shot at several of their favorite locations in Raleigh.  They’ll be having a gorgeous wedding at Fearrington in January 2010.  Thanks so much again guys!

{Kate + Jay} Wedding – Bass Lake

While the weather called for severe storms we were incredibly fortunate to have absolutely fantastic weather for Kate & Jay’s beautiful outdoor wedding at Bass Lake in Holly Springs.  The details of this wedding were absolutely amazing with flowers by TreBella and a cupcake cake by Cinda’s Cakes (so yummy)!  It was a new venue for me and absolutely fun to shoot at because we had a beach, boats and dock to work with, definitely not the ordinary!

I began at Kate’s house with her getting ready – she does her make-up actually perched on the counter.  I’m still amazed she can sit like that – she looked really comfortable.

{Leiana + Stewart} Wedding – Life & Science Museum

Saturday’s wedding of Leiana & Stewart was so truly magical.  I knew I was working with top-notch vendors, the lovely ladies at TreBella flowers and the reception was going to be held at the Life & Science Museum in Durham (where Leiana works).  Her dad made the cake which left me speechless it was so beautiful.  While it was a hot day (for late April), it was such a day filled with love and happiness as their beautiful wedding occurred.  Please enjoy….

This time, I’ll start with not one, but 3 pairs of beautiful shoes.  The very cute hot pink flats Leiana wore for the reception.

Afterwards we headed over to the reception at the Butterfly House at the Life & Science Museum.  It made for such a beautiful, fun & unique backdrop for the reception.  It was such a beautifully warm evening, absolutely gorgeous weather for this outdoor reception.

{Meredith} Bridal – Duke Gardens/Haywood Hall

On Friday, I got back together with Meredith (and Christopher) and photographed her bridal session.  This was actually a ton of fun as we did this (obviously) a week after her wedding.  The original plan was to have her bridal completed before her wedding but her dress wasn’t ready in time (but really, it took a lot of stress out of keeping the dress clean).

We went to the always beautiful Duke Gardens.  Fortunately while the weather is getting very warm there are a lot of great options at Duke without having to walk all over the gardens for amazing photos.    Thanks so much again guys for being so great about everything!

{Just Because}

I was on UNC’s campus late last week for a maternity session (that will be blogged soon) and I saw this across the way.  I thought it was just a really nice moment so I grabbed it and wanted to share it.  I think it’s just sweet and nice.  I have no idea who these people are but I know they spent a lot of time around the Old Well taking informal graduation pictures.

{Charity Event}

I’m so incredibly pleased to announce the formation of Give Back for Hope.  A charity event I put together really under the premise of giving back and trying to do more.  I was incredibly inspired by the documentary cancer work I did last year and really felt the need to do more….so I am.  The site is www.givebackforhope.org and I would love as much support as possible.  Obviously this is very much a “village” effort.  Thank you very much!

{Meredith + Christopher} Wedding – Haywood Hall

Ahh, I’ve been waiting for Meredith & Christopher’s wedding for a very long time.  I remember I photographed their engagement session well over a year ago and I hadn’t seen them in ages.  Their wedding was truly amazing.  I was very excited as well because this was my first wedding of the season.  The weather was, without a doubt, perfect.  The sky was that perfect shade of Carolina blue, not too hot, but not cold – perfect for an outside wedding.  Everything was held at the lovely Haywood Hall in downtown Raleigh.  They were so happy, Meredith was so beautiful…everything was…just so perfect.  So please enjoy and I’ll be sure to post my slideshow as soon as it’s ready.

(I do need to add – I realize this is a bit unconventional for me to start my weddings this way — Meredith’s friends son came into the room – he lost his first tooth and I managed to grab this shot — I just loved it).mc01

{Liz & Tomas} Kiss Me – Fearrington Wedding

I just can’t wait for Liz & Tomas’ wedding.  It’s in 2 weeks at the gorgeous Fearrington Inn.  They are such an amazing couple that just exudes love and romance, it’s just so much fun to be around them.  We’ve been trying to get together for weeks to do their Kiss Me session but our schedules between the 3 of us were just not meshing.  So finally, we were able to get together at Duke Gardens and had a great time.  Afterwards we went to dinner at Tyler’s for one last meeting (which I do with all my couple’s)…it was just a fun, nice afternoon.  Can’t wait to see you guys in 2 weeks!!

{Grace + Alex} Kiss Me

Grace + Alex are going to have a super fabulous wedding on October 10 at the Barn at Valhalla and I couldn’t be more delighted that I’m going to be a part of it.  Seriously, I am truly honored.  When Grace called me earlier this week to move up their Kiss Me session by a week I was really looking forward to it.  We did an urban session for them in Durham, and it was incredible.  I just enjoy every moment I’m around them.  Thanks so much guys, hope you had a great evening!

{Betsy + Tony} Kiss Me

Yesterday I had a lot of fun chatting with Betsy and Tony about their upcoming September wedding in Minnesota, which sounds absolutely fantastic.  Then we went out and documented their “Kiss Me” session (my first engagement session of 2009).  The weather couldn’t have been better if we asked for it and their nerves quickly dissappeared and we  had an absolutely fantastic time together.  Thanks so much again guys!
