A few months before Christmas “we” (we in the global sense meaning really me but knowing I’d drag my very sweet husband into this project) decided we needed to majorly upgrade the girls’ playroom. After all, they aren’t toddlers anymore and are rapidly approaching the tween years. There was nothing inherently wrong with the playroom, it just felt cluttered, disorganized and well, everything is that contractor beige paint so it needed new life. Knowing their love for all things related to Paris “we” decided to go with a Parisian theme for their more grown up space.
Of course months went by and then we decided we wouldn’t get it done in time (and I really wanted to do this as part of their Christmas gift). A very last minute scramble two days before Christmas found me painting the room and then all the redecorating was done Christmas Eve after they went to bed. I’m happy to say they love their new space and I find it wonderfully serene to walk into everyday.
The before (which was taken with my iphone so I apologize for the horrible quality).

And the after!

My sister was in Paris last year and took these amazing shots of the Eiffel Tower. It makes me smile every time I see them as we have a part of her in their very fun room.

And for those wondering “where are the toys”, they are still here, just on one wall in IKEA shelves.

Here’s where we got everything:
All furnishings: IKEA
Paint: Home Depot
Wall Decor: Roommates Peel & Stick (Eiffel Tower and Chalk/Dry Erase Stickers), Hobby Lobby for chandeliers
Paris Accents: Hobby Lobby
